The History
The Town Club of Cincinnati, Incorporated, founded in 1933, is a notfor-profit women’s organization formed for the promotion of educational, charitable, and cultural pursuits. The Town Club membership manifests itself as a diverse, individual member leadership in community activities, involvement in many different organizations, and supporters of mutual programs. The Town Club is governed by a President and Board of Directors elected by the membership. Membership in the Club is by sponsored invitation.
In 2001, The Town Club moved to new headquarters in the Bankers Club on the thirtieth (30th) floor of the Fifth Third Bank Building in downtown Cincinnati. The unique status of being “a club within a club” allowed members to partner with the Bankers Club on some designated activities and with a Bankers Club level of membership. With the closing of the Bankers Club in 2009, The Town Club moved to new headquarters in the elegant Queen City Club.
The historic treasures of The Town Club are housed at The Queen City Club where Town Club business meetings are held. The renowned Town Club Luncheon Meetings, featuring speakers presenting current topics of interest, are scheduled monthly. These meetings are not only an opportunity to remain informed and in touch with current developments, interests, and issues within the membership and the community but to be a part of stimulating conversation, meet new members, enjoy old friends and have fun.
The Town Club is indeed a club that enhances tradition and embraces change.
